You have a whole range of tools – strengths, skills, abilities and strategies – available to you that will enhance your confidence…but you may just not be fully aware of them
By becoming more aware of these tools and the ways in which you can apply them in the face of life’s challenges, you can build your confidence.
If you focus on your strengths, your skills and your general ability to cope with the situation (even if you can’t change it), your feeling towards the challenge of moving forward is likely to be much more positive.
The more control you give yourself, the more confidence you will have!
I have put together 7 tasks together for you to help put you in control and feel more confident about yourself.
Complete the 7 tasks and write down underneath how you felt when you had accomplished it.
JUST BEFORE YOU BEGIN THOUGH….
These tasks are very powerful and will help put you on right track to building self-confidence. I do not want to leave you hanging at the end of this report though. On the sign up page there were 7 further video missions for building self-confidence for you to get out in the world and try.
And after that if you want to keep going I have a special offer for you which you can find at the end of this workbook
Ok now for the tasks, promise yourself one thing right now though. Promise yourself you will take action and do the task, don’t cheat yourself out of happiness but just skipping through the workbook. I guarantee your life can change massive off this workbook alone….
Confidence Task 1: “Stop lying to yourself now!”
What is stopping you from being who you want to be? List 5 excuses you tell yourself for not taking control of your own destiny:
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
Now you have acknowledged these excuses, what action can you take to put yourself back in control of the situation?
Done that? Let’s move on…..
Confidence Task 2:“Make some effort and take pride in your appearance”
Have you thought that how you dress, stand, talk and interact with people can affect your confidence? Do you feel more confident if you put on a new smart item of clothing for the first time, or straight after a new haircut? What can you do everyday to get this feeling?
Can you tick the box on the following:
- I wash, groom and dress to make myself feel good every day and so people notice I have made the effort.
- How I look matches how you talk and hold yourself so you are a believable character when interacting with someone.
- I know what is important to me in my life and am open to discussing them.
- I am genuinely interested in what other people say as well as being interesting myself?
How do you think you would feel different if you knew you were ticking these boxes each day?
Confidence Task 3: “Don’t be so bloody negative all the time!”
Have you ever noticed how the words you use can affect your mood. Certain words can put you in a really bad mood by triggering a memory of a bad experience.
So just think every word you say can influence not only yourself but also anyone you communicate with.
So practise using positive experience words with people right from the start. When someone gives you a daily greeting, think about your response and how that person can be affect.
You could say:
- I am not bad
- I am ok
- I am fine
But how differently would someone respond to you if you tried:
- I am really good
- I am fantastic
- I am flying today
Practise using powerful language when greeting people today and notice the difference!
And really do this exercise, don’t just think about it!
Right next task….
Confidence Task 4: “Step Up And Speak Out!”
Are you putting off tasks because you are afraid or just don’t know where to start? Have you done this before and noticed once the task was done it really was not that bad?
What tasks are you currently putting off?
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
Now do two of these tasks today and notice was it really that bad?
Every day, write a list of 5 things you have been putting off and make sure at least 2 of them get done.
Eventually you will notice you have no tasks to put off as you have developed the habit to take action!
Confidence Task 5: “Get excited about making decisions!”
Imagine making decisions as a muscle in your mind. The more you exercise the muscle the stronger it gets.
This exercise is about developing the ability to make decisions.
For a whole day, make a commitment that you have three seconds to decide what to do in every situation that arises
At the end of the day review all the decisions you made and what success it led to and notice all the times you hesitated and what opportunities this cost you.
Interest idea isn’t it…..
Right lets go to task number 6
Confidence Task 6: “Credit where credit is due”
By acknowledging what others have done well for you and showing gratitude you are helping other people feel good.
As a result you will feel better in yourself and therefore more confident.
So have a think, who are 5 people who have done something good for you?
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
Have you said thank you to them?
Confidence Task 7: “Practice makes perfect!”
This last exercise allows you to put all the learning you have gained from this report and use them all in one experience.
This exercise may sound slightly strange but it is the cheapest, quickest and most effective way to eliminate hesitation, anxiety and fear of rejection.
The aim of this exercise is to make an absurd request to someone, in a calm manner as if you genuinely mean it.
For example:
You may receive a cold call to your personal phone line, why not pretend to act as if you made the call and need to charge the other person for speaking to you.
Walking into a Burger Shop and asking for Pizza, then apologising when your error is pointed out and say you thought this was a Chinese takeaway
Take everything someone says as literal, for example if someone says, “My hands are tied, I cannot do anything”, why not ask to speak to their boss and complain it’s unfair to tie members of staff up.
Just try it and notice how invincible you feel afterwards!
Let’s wrap this up:
“Commit to making the changes!”
To read this report is one way to build your confidence, to do each exercise once will really benefit you but the key to building habits is to repeat these exercises until they become the normal behaviour for you.
So what actions are you going to commit to taking, and how long for, now you have finished reading this report?
I COMMIT TO TAKING THE CONSISTENT ACTION BELOW:
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.
To get the most out of this report do not just read the exercises, actually commit to taking part with 100% energy and enthusiasm.
Reading alone with provide you with useful insights but by taking action the learning’s you will gain massively increase through both conscious and unconscious learning.
